Argosy simplifies interoperability with new converters and showcases KVM solutions at CABSAT
CABSAT Show Preview, stand S1-G22
Flexible Lindy Electronics’ converters simplify interoperability between diverse connector series and communications interface formats
LONG CRENDON, UK –Argosy, a leading international supplier of infrastructure products, has formed a partnership with leading IT and AV connectivity products and solutions company, Lindy Electronics. As an authorised distributor of the Lindy portfolio, Argosy can offer a new range of signal splitters, converters and extender devices to the broadcast industry. At CABSAT, Argosy will be showcasing a range of Lindy’s USB, HDMi DVI and DisplayPort converter cables, plus Category 6 data patch cabling, fibre patch cables and intelligent power distribution units.
KVM technology from Guntermann & Drunck (G&D) will also be on the Argosy stand; designed to save costs on redundant hardware, reduce cabling and infrastructure, consolidate desk space, and increase performance. KVM extenders and switches allow users to operate several hundred computers from one workstation or extend access to computers located up to 10,000 metres away.
G&D caters to the growing complexity of KVM applications by providing a smaller solution with a large selection of powerful features. Thanks to versatile KVM products, which can all be combined, for a solution that is right for the application, existing IT structures and the operational requirements of any project. Over the last few months, G&D has been developing its compact product series VisionXS. These matrix-compatible high-performance KVM extenders support resolutions up to 4K @ 60 Hz. The systems are available for both KVM-over-IP and classic, direct transmission. G&Ds local representative will be providing expertise at Argosy’s CABSAT stand.
“Our portfolio is richer than ever with a diverse and high-quality range of active and passive products and solutions. Newly formed partnerships with the likes of Lindy Electronics and G&D are really helping us to simplify our customers installations and operations when it comes to their SD, HD, 4K, IP and cloud-based infrastructures,“ said Razi Baig, regional sales manager at Argosy Middle East L.L.C.
“Our expanded Middle East stock facility in Dubai has allowed Argosy to serve the region more efficiently and we’re now looking to recruit across our local sales and warehouse functions to support the business even further.”
MENA has been a lucrative region for Argosy over the years. “This is down to the fact that the region’s broadcasters and production companies have always been keen to embrace new technologies and subsequently change and improve their infrastructure to accommodate this,” concluded Baig.
Argosy is once again exhibiting at CABSAT to demonstrate how its customers’ journeys across new platforms, e.g. from linear to OTT and formats e.g. from SDI to IP, can go as smoothly as possible.
