A popular type of I/O connector commonly used in the computer and datacoms industry, the D-Sub connector socket provides power and point-to-point communications between two devices such as a computer and a monitor.
The D-shaped metal shell contains two parallel rows of sockets and provides mechanical support, ensuring secure mating through correct orientation. With its robust, high performing design, this connector is suitable for communications and network ports in various industries, including industrial, commercial and medical.
With pre-drilled 3.05mm diameter holes on either side of the feature flanges for easy panel mounting, the rear pins of this subminiature connector are machined to high quality, and the solder cup secures the wire with soldering. The socket-style female connector mates with the plug-style male connector.
This 9 way socket is rated Performance level 3, has an RS232 standard interface, and conforms to BS9523 F0010 and F0018.
Meets dimensional requirements of MIL-C-24308, BS9523 F0018 and DIN 41652.
Caution: a plastic shell D-sub cannot be mated with a metal shell D-sub.
