The 1.0/2.3 is a straight full-crimp plug with a gold-plated centre and outer contact with push-pull coupling and a sub-miniature ‘true 75 ohm’ coaxial connector. Using precision components impedance, it is a re-design of the original DNI style connector, making it suitable for 3G HD-SDI and frequencies up to 12GHz.
Designed for high-density routers, this micro-miniature connector has a gold-plated centre and outer mating contacts, nickel-plated latching outer body, and hexagonally-crimped outer braid sleeve. It meets IEC 61169-29, CECC 22230 & DIN 47297 standards.
The DIN 1.0/2.3 series is increasingly used as an alternative to BNC in digital telecommunications and broadcast. Used to achieve high-density connections on the rear panels of equipment, a dedicated slim-line removal tool is required to release the mating latch and un-mate the connector.
