Produced by Ghielmetti, the GMK 313/90 patchcords are suitable for AES/EBU digital and analogue audio. Ghielmetti patch panels are ideal for digital and analogue signals, even when mixed within the same panel. Except for the Economy series, they have exceptional crosstalk performance over 100dB between adjacent channels (even with high-level signals), ensuring that low-level digital signals pass with a minimal error rate.
When this plug is inserted into the lower row, the long pins connect by linking the front and rear contact wafers and act like a “half-normalled” jackfield, which is the way virtually all jackfields are wired in use. Like a conventional jackfield, a “source” on the top row is patched to the “destination” on the lower row, as patching does not sever any contacts.
Panels come standard in an anthracite (RAL7024) finish, with various terminations.
