The high-performance D-Subminiature connector is designed for use in the computer and datacoms industry to provide power and point-to-point communications between two devices such as a computer and a monitor. It features a sturdy zinc-plated steel shell and solder cup terminations that enable the easy connection of wires. The pre-drilled 3.05mm diameter holes on either side of the connector's flanges allow for easy panel mounting with pins that are machined to a high quality.
The 15 way D-sub connector is a D-shaped shell that provides mechanical support and ensures the correct orientation when mating. Contains two or more parallel rows of pins or sockets. Accommodates wire sizes 20, 22, and 24 AWG. Current rating is size 20, with 5 amps contacts.
Suitable for I/O (input/output) interconnections in a wide range of industrial and commercial applications, the 15 way male connector is rated Performance Level 1, which exceeds DIN Class 2, has an RS232 standard interface and conforms to BS9523 F0010 and F0018.
